NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh wants Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to step in to see Canada Post scrap its fuel surcharge on deliveries over the upcoming holiday rush period.

    Holy crap. 39.5% surcharge? That's ridiculous.

    But the point is to wean people off gas.

    Get Rivian EV vans, like USPS and UPS are doing.

    We used to mail parcels to the grandkids at Xmas, but Canada Post got absurd with prices a couple years back before any goddam surcharge
    My sistr drove my son's ashes up here, said the Post office wanted more than the cost of 1/2 a tank in their truck. Had a nice couple days visit thanks to that.
