Five members of Canada's Olympic delegation were placed under COVID-19 protocols upon arrival in Beijing although it's unclear whether than means they tested positive and are in quarantine.

This comes as absolutely no surprise IMO.

    More to come I'm sure.

I bet it will only be teams that can beat Chinese teams.

Yep what a surprise, who wants to bet that there will be athletes quarantined and getting 'positive' tests right before gold medal events?

I'm sure this is going to be the dirtiest Olympics ever.

Russia - "you should see the crazy crooked shit we got away with in Sochi just because we were the host country!"

China - "really? here, hold my beer"

Well, skimming through the comments section on the CBC site whenever there is an Olympic-related article it seems many are opting to not watch this year's version. Mostly due to being opposed to where they are being held and of course because of covid.

It seems to me that over the years that less people bother in general due to the negative views of the IOC in general.

Pretty much why I gave up them a while back.

Less and less every time. I won’t be watching this year because of it being held in china.

    And then there's this...

China's foreign ministry and an official newspaper have accused the United States of planning to interfere with and "sabotage" the Beijing Winter Olympics by paying athletes from some countries to make half-hearted efforts in competition and to criticize China.

I normally do, and I prefer the Winter Olympics over the Summer Games, but given China's atrocious behaviour over the past six or seven years, I just cannot.
