Public Safety Minister Mike Farnworth declared a state of emergency on Tuesday afternoon in response to ongoing wildfires burning across the province.

It's about damn time. Help and $ is desperately needed in so many areas.

Just got word from friends of ours tonight that they are literally on the edge of an evacuation alert area which isn't much further from an evacuation order area.
