Despite the obvious politics of her being picked as GG, she looks like she is going to be a good GG.

Vote buying for a federal election. Nothing more, nothing less.

Good to see. As part of the process of reconciliation I'd almost suggest making the GG position one that should always be held by a Native person.

She has always seemed like a nice lady. I have no doubt this will continue.

I'm not sure about that, but a couple First Nations Governor Generals in a row certainly would be a step in the right direction. It might make sense to rotate the position between Anglophone, Francophone and First Nations.

Overall, she seems like a solid pick, with some experience at that level as well as being indigenous.

Of course the blue Kool-Aid crew pointed out that she once worked at the CBC...

I’ve heard that a few times from all sides. But regardless how she came to be appointed she maybe able to help with reconciliation. Too many variables to say but I’m sure she will try.

What bias? It was all over the radio yesterday. I listen to two different stations (music stations), and both their hosts said that all signs of this appointment point to an election. I happen to agree. No bias whatsoever. Facts.

You've proven your bias from your past history here but don't worry about it, we all have biases. So the question is, who would have been a better candidate?

Everything a government does should be 'vote buying'. Everything they do should be to get them elected again.

Your bias is that you seem surprised when the Liberals do it, but actually every party does it.
