Message of "keep your blatant & overwhelming anti-Semitism to yourself, bish" received loud and clear.

People sure invest a lot of political capital into a tiny little country and its occupied territories have a world away. I say we switch to, say, Djibouti for a while for a change of pace.

Wonder if she'll feel as comfortable in the Libs as she was in the Greens with saying things like the Jews should go back to Poland, Belarus, the Baltics, and Bavaria where they've "always been safe", as per the late great Saint Helen Thomas, and give Israel back to the Arabs. Left-wing Jew-bashing and "delenda est Israel" is a true spectacle to behold, much more entertaining and fresher-smelling than the right-wing variety tends to be.

Who cares? She's done. The liberals will throw her to the curb once she has outlived her usefulness. I doubt they will even let her run next election and by that time the Greens will have completely imploded. NDP will get all of the ex-green vote with none of the Israeli angle.

The NDP already have a very strong death-to-Israel segment in their ranks, copying what happened to British Labour under Corbyn. It's a good reminder to pick and choose between the Liberals and Tories because the federal NDP is now as nasty of an identity-politics centric party that's ever existed in the Canadian system.

True but if Harper could collar the bible thumpers in his ranks Singh can do the same. Bigger fish to fry when there are seats to be won and where else are ex-greens going to go?

That requires the assumption that Singh would even be interested in corralling his own lunatics, or that he isn't one himself. All signs have consistently pointed to this iteration of the NDP being the most hard-left and radical one they've ever been, even more so than during the late 1960's/early 1970's.

One voice in the wilderness of the Liberal backbench will probably produce more results than being 1/3 of the Green caucus ever did.
And the NDP never seriously tries to win. Why else would you elect a leader who flaunts his religion in the face of where they once got their most support?

The greens are the whole reason why the Liberal even bothered to cover green issues to begin with. Being a backbencher will effectively put her on mute.

Singh clearly knows how to heard cats, it why he is still in his position to begin with. It's a lesson that the green leader clearly did not have time to learn.

Herding cats is easier when you have more than a single issue platform.

Good thing the Green party isn't a single issue party then.
