Canadian startup creates bandages for black and brown skin tones

The other week at work my boss tells me that there are three sinks out of order in the mens casino restroom that he wants me to check out. I hate calls like that because you don't know where to start. Are they clogged?, leaking?, no water coming out?, water temp wrong?, spraying everywhere? We have a log book where if someone from our department has looked at something, they write down the problem if they do not fix it. That way we know what parts and tools to take to the job. If the janitors put something out of order, they just put up the out of order sign. Sometimes they shut off the water supply. I always wear black disposable gloves to every call. I put my hand in front of the sensor in all three sinks, nothing happens. I assume that the janitor has shut off the water to the sinks. Its late in the shift. I am tired, and do not feel like screwing around. I go see the manager in charge of the janitors. Maybe he knows why the sinks are out of order. He has no knowledge but goes with me to speak to the janitor as he is bilingual. The janitor is nowhere to be found.

I tell the manager that someone from his department has shut off the sinks. He puts his white hand under the sensor, and water starts coming out. All three sinks. I tell him that they were not working for me just a few minutes earlier. He tells me that the sink will not work with the gloves that I am wearing........the black gloves. Does anyone see where this might be a problem? A very big problem?

As FUBU freakout from the left is just as likely as dumb-ass racist comments from the right when it comes to things like these band-aids. There's some good video on YT of some black ratchet freaking out and attacking a white kid in a college hallway just because the guy had dreadlocks, which according to her is something only blacks are allowed to do to their hair. I suspect there's just as many pieces of shit like her on the left as there is the legion-in-number shitheads on the right who keep going "why can't I still tell N-word jokes when I'm out in public?".

The fact remains that much of our society is geared toward the white person, and males in particular. Like rick demonstrated, black surfaces are not picked up by photosensitive sensors. Black and brown people I work with always have problems with their laptop cameras trying to focus on them. And bandaids are really obvious for those who are non white.

Why the big deal because a company wants to tap a untapped market? I mean, J&J announced the same thing a year ago, and no one noticed.

...and another thing, why do people even care if they make different colour bandages. There are pickle bandages, bacon, Bob Ross, Jesus, Iron-man and hundreds of other bandages. I don't remember people complaining about those.
