So, despite the fact that the latest generation of revisionists wants to tear history down and remake it in their own image, it doesn't change the fact that white people built Canada as the nation we we know it today and the natives were rightly or wrongly just an afterthought especially since they were a defeated peoples. The trick for people isn't virtue signalling it's pushing ahead and making Canada a county where people of every stripe can be just as big an asshole as the rest of us without fear of being singled out because of their race creed or colour.

By the same token legal immigrants and genuine refugees who come to Canada for a better life should be afforded that opportunity to succeed and it shouldn't be based on any factors but their own ability, drive and perseverance. But, the ones who come here both legally and illegally and then demand we turn our country into their old country or change our way of life and beliefs to suit them should be sent packing immediately.

But given this topic is about racism in the military it's apparent that some people haven't evolved far past the early 20th Century and if this is what the latest generation of warriors have become we're in real fucking trouble.

I served well over 30 years and was fortunate enough to sail and serve with people of every colour creed and religion. All of them I still proudly call my brothers and sisters even if I didn't like some of them personally. So, if they're is real systemic racism in the military and not just journalistic sensationalism and virtue signalling by the higher ups, I'm pretty sure it like the apparent lack of real discipline is a recent development.

There isn't one veteran I know who I can remember ever using a racist term in anger towards any other service member especially a shipmate. And that could be attributed to the fact that you would have had your lights put out by your victim or superiors for sure if you did. But, the reason for the lack of racism is, as always in the military you rely on the very person you're disparaging to keep your ass out of the grass. So only an idiot would lessen his chances of survival by being an overt racist and alienating the person who could possibly save his life.

Personal hygiene, not getting drunk all the time, reading, writing, math, clean homes, obeying the law, being polite, things like that!
