Good. Time for the great reset. I'll order my Mad Max post-apocalypse outfit on Amazon this weekend, Canada Post should deliver it sometime after the collapse has happened.

"What do you think about Western Civilization, Mr. Ghandi?"

"I think it would be an excellent idea!"

Back in the 1980s, I remember reading a story set in the 27th or 28th century about the 'British Yukon Empire' based in the Yukon which survived because the world got too hot or something like that (most of the world below 60 degrees was uninhabitable).

It was an interesting read, but at the time I thought it was complete science fiction. Now I now wonder if we're heading to a future like that, although it would probably be two centuries from now, not six or seven.

So after we get through the current civil unrest, we still have coronavirus waiting to pop up again, and when we get some kind of handle on that then it's Hothouse Earth. Pass the tequila.

I'll be dead by the time the worst of it happens, and I don't particularly care what happens to the children of others. Therefore, as the cartoon goes, I'm fine with this. 8)

Personally I'd rather rely on social scientists, rather than physical scientists, on the impacts of climate change on civilization. Epochal crises always highlight the frayed ends of society; that's a banal observation.

I've been hearing predictions of THE END OF DAYS!!! all my life.

    We're still here.

    Sorry, Thanos!

The most recent stadium-sized asteroid missing us left me all depressed again.

    Meh.
Only a fucking idiot would trust a climate "scientist" to tell the truth or anything remotely resembling good advice.

    Who pays those shills???
