A former Humboldt Bronco hockey player has filed a $13.5-million lawsuit against those he accuses of being responsible for the 2018 bus crash that paralyzed him and killed 16 others.

    I dunno about frivolous... seems kind of standard. Likely not motivated by actual animus towards the driver or anything. Just how the system works. Seems likely the provincial governments at least, may bear some actual responsibility. Certainly worth testing the idea in court.

    Got talked into it by an ambulance-chaser. Going after the provincial trucking regulators is one thing, but going after the dead bus driver's estate is pretty fucking skeezy given that his family also suffered badly from the tragedy.
