While I have no problem putting people in the drug trade out of business and behind bars this gov't operated theft ring is wrong and has been allowed to carry on far to long. We used to be a country of laws but if the gov't can circumvent them why the fuck should the citizens be held to a higher standard?

This crap started years ago with the confiscation of the Hell's Angels clubhouses in Nanaimo and on the lower mainland under the premise that it was paid for from the proceeds of crime. No proof, no trial, no verdict.

So it would appear that they're at it again. I wonder if one of the MLA's wants a shiny new helicopter to fly back and forth from his constituency office to the Legislature? Damn ferry traffic.

The B.C. government says Fraser Valley man should forfeit his property because he was allegedly involved in helicopter drug smuggling.

Why in the fuck should the Gov't be able to "confiscate" someones property on the premise of an accusation? They should only be able to confiscate property when a finding of GUILT, has been awarded. Otherwise it's no better than common theft and the only reason it's allowed to happen is because the Gov't is the perpetrator.

I wonder how many other properties they've managed to "forfeit" from people based on false on inaccurate accusations and with no real burden of proof.
