Considering that the Trudeau government and the Chinese government are on unfriendly terms right now, it’s not likely that the Beijing government or its surrogates in Canada are boosting Trudeau. Smells like a false flag stunt. Or just as likely, the Beijing government is trying to get its supporters to infiltrate the liberal party in order to pressure it from within.
Or they've realized that a Conservative government in Canada would be more hard line vs China.

Pretty sure they are way ahead of you on that.

I think the Liberals actually made a good tactical move there. They told China that there would be no decision on Huewei until after the election. So, in my thinking, if the Chinese government were to interfere in our election, they'd do so in favour of the Liberals because the Conservative will be worse. No guarantee that the Liberals will approve Huewei, but there is one the Conservatives will not.

So you're in favour of our elections being interfered with by other countries?

Yea, I'm not even going to answer yet another great leap in logic there.
