And while this is good news since the pipeline is back in the hands of a company that owns pipelines. The Liberals still overpaid for the Trans Mountain Pipeline and we're still out 150 million dollars due to the cut rate fire sale on something that's got the potential to make someone billions.

Why does the price of doing business in Canada always involve the Taxpayers getting screwed?

150mil is a damn sight better than the 2 or 3bil I thought we'd be out.

Because that's the Canadian way! Our unofficial motto is "Fuck the Taxpayer!"

This purchase does not include the TMX purchased by the government of Canada.

The CEO of Pembina Pipeline Corp. says the Trans Mountain pipeline system would fit neatly into his company's business model but he wouldn't want the "noise" associated with its controversial expansion project.

On a conference call to discuss his company's agreement announced Wednesday to purchase Kinder Morgan Canada Ltd., Mick Dilger was non-committal when asked if Pembina would consider buying the pipeline which Kinder Morgan sold to the federal government last year.

My bad, I got so caught up in the euphoria of only losing 150 million dollars that I didn't read the fine print which says.

"Hey Canada we wouldn't buy that Liberal white elephant for any amount of money and guess what? You're still fucked because you own a pipeline that you overpaid by billions for and nobody in their right mind is willing to take a risk on".

    Love Pembina.
