    These are the most documented crimes in history, documented by the people committing the atrocities. How any body can question these things is really beyond me.

    The details are sometimes questionable and upon scrutiny they're expunged from the canonical history. The Yad Vashem (Jewish Holocaust center) typically does a great job sorting the anecdotes from the valid history.

    Questioning history and questioning other people's facts is a healthy thing to do.

    In this case it's a bad career move but ironically it will be a teachable moment.
