Boston approves 'Straight Pride' parade application,

Well this was bound to happen.

Why not have just one parade for everybody... all inclusive?

This will be the most boring parade ever invented.

Okay a couple things 1) This article and others on Gay Pride parades always have it sound like they are Protesting. There will always be a line or paragraph saying something like " We are marching in response to the oppression we have had to endure" Okay so it's not a parade it's a protest. Any parade I can think of is a celebration NOT a oh look how bad we have or have had it. It always seems to point out how much HATE they have endured.

2) Now it seems that those who support Gay Pride parades are showing their Hate of strait pride and or anything Strait because (fill in any invalid claim you want to make)

And by the article Supporters can also use the same claim. Hate is hate. So now Christians being shot at in Muslim countries means Christians around the world can make the same claim now. Well heck everyone can make that claim. I've been shot at when in Panama so I can now claim Panama and by extension all Hispanics hate me and thus I am enduring constant hate from said group?

My statement sounds a bit contrived yet that's what you just did. Because group X was shot at in Istanbul that means the ones in group Y are now in the right to claim they have been shot at because they are of the same sexual orientation.

'Contrived' is straight people thinking they need to protest and bring to light the bigotry that homosexuals, first nations, and other minorities have heaped upon them over the decades. All the times they got fired from their jobs for marrying the opposite sex, or when it came out they liked to participate in football and/or hockey. All the times they got heckled for walking down the street hand in hand with the ones they loved. All the times they weren't allowed to visit loved ones in hospital because they weren't "family". All the times they weren't allowed to inherit their loved one's estate because their relationship wasn't recognized by the State.

Is it not obvious how stupid a 'straight pride' event is?

I am proud that I have feet, and don't drool on myself much in public.

I get the the early parades, the ones in the years after the infamous Stonewall Raid, but that was 50(?) years ago. Sure Homosexuality is still outlawed in many nations, but in Canada and most of the west it's legal... so why parade here? People are getting tired of this being shoved in our faces and it really its starting to show; as that article from USA Today I posted in another topic.

The more they flaunt this, the more people will sour to the idea. I don't care what you do in the bedroom, why do I need to see what you do in the bedroom? I'm just happy imagining that everyone just goes and sleeps in the bedroom. I not interested in what your kink is. Really I'm not.

All this being said, a straight pride parade is equally stupid. See above for my reasons.
