Where is he imposing gender balance specifically in the oil industry ?

It's one of his favourite features of Bill C-69, gender equity in O&G construction projects as part of the social license umbrella. That you're never ever gonna see a perfect 50/50 split between *cis-men and women/trannies on a pipeline or oilsands project because there simply aren't enough women or trannies to fill half those jobs in an industry that works in harsh conditions seems irrelevant to our government. So let it be written, so let it be done, as all pharaohs assume the world works.

This bill is utter folly because the Gov't becomes the regulatory body for all major infrastructure projects. And, as we all know the gov't could give a shit about the rank and file Canadians so any hope of getting them to do what the majority wants when it comes to things like honestly assessing the environmental impacts of these projects is slim to none.

I also don't like the fact that it's the Gov't who decides whether the natives have been consulted with enough or not and whether these projects impact them because, as we all know when it comes to dealing with the Natives, certain political parties put their interests over the interests of the country as a whole.

But the real terrifying thing is that this bill puts Canada's future in the hands of an institution which, partisan politics aside has proven time and time again that it's the least qualified one to be running anything especially honest large scale infrastructure projects.

Then what was the point of including gender equity nonsense in C-69 at all? And why leave other sectors of the economy exempt from it altogether? If it isn't a threat to O&G to dance to the Liberal party's social policies in order to get approvals then why was it included at all? Scare the Western racists/sexists/anti-tranny Neanderthals into co-operation but don't level the same intimidation at the much more "enlightened" Bay Street?

So tell me something then Mr. Wizard. America led the world to a level of progress civilization had never seen. The poorest westerner has things a middle ages king couldn't dream of. How did that happen? It didn't happen everywhere? It happened in the West.

I say it took a set of ideals where you have the right to the pursuit of happiness among other rights.

You're given gifts at birth - anything from speed or intelligence to rich parents, then you're off. Not every speedy, smart or rich kid makes it but they all start with the right to pursue their happiness providing they recognize their responsibility not to obstruct the rights of others. They start from that starting line.

What would you do? Weight the speedy guy's gym shoes. Make the smart guy take classes from a beaver with a fever? Of course you'd take the rich guy's money but that isn't what made you lucky enough to be born into a world where western ideals created the superior gifts we all enjoy. If you lived by the ideals that made us lucky enough to enjoy the gifts of this advanced civilization what you want to do should put you in jail. You want to take other peoples' money.
