After President Trump said he liked the idea of transporting illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities, the singer/actress, who usually leans towards the liberal end of the political spectrum, argued that Los Angeles can't even handle its own homeless population.
"Sanctuary city" is not a legal term but is a phrase used to describe jurisdictions – cities, counties, states – that don't fully comply with federal immigration enforcement.
"I Understand Helping struggling Immigrants but MY CITY (Los Angeles) ISNT TAKING CARE OF ITS OWN," she wrote in a tweet Sunday. "WHAT ABOUT THE 50,000+Citizens WHO LIVE ON THE STREETS?
