Multiple Democratic lawmakers this week replaced POW/MIA flags outside their Capitol Hill offices with a Transgender Equality flag to commemorate “Trans Visibility Week,” photos show.
I don't understand this? Every picture shown has ample space to have added a flag stand and flag, why would they need to remove one to put up a new one? Just stupid.
Probably some rule that limits the number of flags and banners that can be put on display outside a congressional office - without such a rule it would be guaranteed that every single one of the wankers would have a couple of dozen flags, banners, and signs from their favoured special interests outside their door, like all the ads on the boards of a pro hockey rink or the jerseys of soccer teams. Kind of a no-win scenario as the removal of any of them counts as some kind of ultimate "gotcha!" moment for the likes of FOX to beat an enemy up with some kind of irrelevancy. Ideological goldmine but in terms of something that actually matters it's barely clickbait. The POW/MIA flags will still be used by the righties as some kind of angry political "point" fifty years from now, decades after any actual POW/MIA from Vietnam has passed away.
And the creation of this thread was just the usual pure-hearted pathos from the huge souls of the right wing, amirite? We care about the troops, darn it, even though two years ago we put into power a draft-dodger who lied about bone spurs he didn't have in order to party it up in the early 1970's instead of going to Vietnam! Only we care! wOOt!
I'll go hide in the bathroom now...
(making) some kind of angry political "point"
And right there, that's what you were doing with this post.
