China accuses detained Canadians of spying, days after Huawei extradition hearing approved

Days after the Canadian government authorized an extradition hearing for Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou, China released a series of more detailed allegations against former diplomat Michael Kovrig, accusing him of spying and the theft of state secrets.
