Neo-Nazi coast guard officer accused of domestic terror plot denied bail
Government says Christopher Hasson was plotting ‘to murder innocent civilians on a scale rarely seen in this country’

A federal judge on Thursday denied bail for lieutenant Christopher Hasson, a neo-Nazi member of the US coast guard who the government says was plotting “to murder innocent civilians on a scale rarely seen in this country”.
Law enforcement officers seized 15 guns and 1,000 rounds of ammunition from Hasson’s Silver Spring, Maryland, home earlier this week. Court documents quoted an email in which Hasson wrote he was “dreaming of a way to kill almost every last person on the earth”. He was arrested this week on drug and gun charges.
In arguing against bail , federal prosecutor Jennifer Sykes said Hasson would log on to his government computer during work and spend hours searching for information on such people as the Unabomber, the Virginia Tech gunman and anti-abortion bomber Eric Rudolph.
Sykes said the charges so far are just the “tip of the iceberg” and called Hasson a “domestic terrorist” who appeared to be planning attacks inspired by the manifesto of Anders Behring Breivik, the Norwegian rightwing extremist who killed 77 people in a 2011 bomb-and-shooting rampage.
In court papers this week, federal prosecutors said Hasson compiled what appeared to be a computer-spreadsheet hit list that included the House speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer and presidential hopefuls such as senators Kirsten Gillibrand, Elizabeth Warren, Cory Booker and Kamala Harris. Also mentioned were such figures as MSNBC’s Chris Hayes and Joe Scarborough and CNN’s Chris Cuomo and Van Jones.
....The judge called the evidence “concerning” and gave prosecutors two weeks to file additional charges tied to the terror plot allegations.
Court documents included evidence that Hasson searched online for “civil war if trump impeached” and “what if trump illegally impeached”.
Hasson, a former US Marine, also corresponded with a white supremacist leader, said he had been a “skinhead” for more than 30 years and discussed plans to established a breakaway white homeland inside the United States, prosecutors alleged.
I was going to post this under the Nihlist right wing thread but thought it probably deserves its own thread. One of these days one of these nuts will be successful again. This is a direct product of the toxic invective, extremist viewpoints, incessant lies of the right wing and elevation of mits like Trump who are the human embodiment ofall these things.
Anyone remember a few years ago when the DOJ issued a briefing on the coming rise of Right wing domestic terrorism and the conservatives had a shit fit?

In the link that you provided Hasson admitted to being a skinhead for over 30 years. Trump has been President for 2 years now. Exactly how is this President Trump's fault?

To be fair, as per the article, the right-wing kooks commit more attacks by the attacks by Muslims cause more deaths.
True but then again there's alot more of them in America than Muslims. But if you were to combine all the attacks by Muslim terrorists compared to Christian terrorists world wide the Muslims would be leading by a country mile.
The perpetrators of this fraud have learned not to be too brave about showing you the actual incidents they're talking about. Too easy to get caught as BS artists if they do.
Instead they hide behind numbers. Apparently some see numbers and say, "Oh look, numbers. Must be true." It's not though. They pulled those numbers out their confirmation bias butt-holes.
