Instead of eating food from four groups, Canadians are now encouraged to follow three guidelines on: what to eat regularly, what to avoid, and the importance of cooking and preparing meals at home.

I'm glad they get rid of the four food groups. Seemed kind of limiting.

What is this "water" they speak of? Where the hell is the meat? There needs to be an animal carcass on that plate.

Good, I never knew in what group to put beer and chocolate.

Sugar, salt, grease and alcohol will forever be the 4 food groups!

Mushrooms. Where do they go, besides in the gravy for the mashed potatoes?

Just me but I prefer my fruit to be delivered inside of a pie.

There is only one pie that matters, and that pie is a pecan pie.

Pecan Pie, Lemon Meringue Pie, Key Lime Pie, Shoefly Pie, Buttermilk pie, Peach Pie, Mincemeat pie, Pumpkin pie, Succotash pie, . . .

    Embrace the rainbow of pie.

Oh I will embrace the rainbow of pie. But there will only be one pie I will go for first (and protect with my life)...

I do love tourtière. Best cultural appropriation since we claimed Poutine.

My doctor has been telling me this for years, so it's nothing new, but why is this even necessary?

A tool kit for for Indigenous populations is being planned.

They tend to react badly to extra carbs in their diet. Lots and lots of diabetes in first nations people.

And I agree, when I first started to pay attention to the old Food Guide, I tried to eat the recommend servings in a day, and gained a lot of weight. 8O
