Human foot found washed ashore on Washington state island

Beachgoers found the 'skeletonized' remains inside a boot on the south end of Jetty Island, just off the coast of Everett, Wash., on New Year's Day.

Why is it always feet? Why not other parts?

They separate fairly easily from the rest of the body. The shoe probably keeps everything together too and the added buoyancy makes it easier for them to wash ashore.
