Why not use said money for the vets or our homeless?

And we have no homelessness or vets worth helping... right. I forgot. I'm such an idiot.

No, but I do expect the government to follow through to the Canadian people it made in 1989. They pledged to end homelessness by 2000. They have not.

And do we not owe it to the vets to take care of them, especially considering they take of our sovereignty?

Because those kinds of photo ops aren't as politically advantageous compared to standing at a podium with a diverse variety-pack of smiling new arrivals as a backdrop doing the "world needs more Canada!" routine for the ten millionth time.

Before a nickel goes to hotel rooms for border jumpers or abortions in Africa or the missile dumps, indoctrination camps and Pallywood propaganda of the UNRWA it does, yeah.

100% of the federal budget has to he spent on vets and homeless?Oh piss off. Trudeau exclaimed there just wasn't money in the budget for them. But oh boy, we sure found money to forgive GM and Chrylser billions in loans. We sure found money to give to the media a year before an election. We found money to donate the Clinton Crime Family Foundation. We found money for Trevor Noah's pet cause. We found money to bail out Maple Leaf foods as they build a new facility. We had $4.5 billion to buy an un-built pipeline that will probably never get built. And that doesn't take into account the billions Groper has shipped overseas.

Yep, we got money for all that and more but we just can't find the money for Groper to keep his promise to our veterans.

Think what $5bn could do to assist our most vulnerable. It would make a marked difference in the lives of those who served and those who need it the most.

You could also spend five billion on the plans for Canada's navy that's never going to get built.

Why do we need a navy when we have yours! :P

Seriously though, see comment about ruthlessly cutting our equipment and expecting the military to be able to do anything but provide a well trained moving target for the enemy to shoot at.

The government in 1989 was conservative under Mulroney...just saying.

Without a doubt, Trudeau should be spending more on vets, but in fairness, his government did re-open the offices that Harper's government closed (and which drew huge protests).
