When I saw this on the news today the reporter talked to a few students about why they opted to use food delivery services to get their lunches. One student, an older teenager btw, had the nerve to say "because my mom is too lazy to make me a lunch". Awwww... poor baby. Do you not know where the kitchen is in your house and what that tall, cold thing with the doors has in it?

I make my own lunch every day, but I saw a sign for a delivery of a hot tiffin every day for $299 a month. I thought about it seriously. I usually have a soup or sandwich or leftovers, but having a nice hot meal delivered seemed like a step up.
I agree that kids should DIY their lunch, but I'm old and have enough money to do as I like.
The real issue here is that the lunch deliveries are cutting into the revenue for the cafeteria and the unionized cafeteria workers.
Doesn't matter if the cafeteria serves such shit that the kids would rather spend extra money on delivered food, the solution is not to improve the cafeteria food, the solution is to make sure the kids have no other choice.

You could just buy your own Indian wife for that money.

idk about you, I worked all through high school. I had tons of money, and managed to blow it all.

There's the good Commie answer. Does anyone remember their high school cafeteria ?
There was a Mac's on the corner.
Lol, I just googled my old school, there is still a convenience store in that building. And a Timmies across the street, I'll bet they do well.
edit: and now I see a Subway across the road from my old smoking area. Jesus.

If she's Indian, then she'll come with goats and cows and things. Families actually pay you to take their women! It's so strange.

Yup. It was . . . meh. Burgers, fries, pasta, cinnamon rolls. But I worked too, and had a car, so I did what I wanted.
My high school was a 'closed campus' where we were not allowed to leave for lunch. For a stretch in my senior year I owned a 1956 Harley (sounds better than it really was) and at lunch time I'd walk across the street, get on my bike, and go to lunch.
One time had the school's greasy little 'resource officer' come after me and try to block my bike.
Let's just say he never did that again.
In any case I didn't GAF about their stupid rule and after their butt-monkey got himself run over they didn't bother me about it anymore.

I can make my own a lot cheaper and tastier.
