    Calling them a security team might be a stretch.

    I'll bet you money they installed an IDS after August 2015 and then assumed that their fucking baseline was safe.

    Happens a lot, people assume they're safe when they put up their defenses yet they still need to go back and make sure that the enemy doesn't already have a foothold inside of their perimeter.

    One of the first lessons my co-ordinator taught us. Assume you are breached at all times.
