The P.E.I. government has announced several new measures to prevent drivers from illegally passing school buses, in a province that already has the highest fines in the country for ignoring the law.
So long as the bus is passed ILLEGALLY I have no problem. The problem will arise when someone questions what bus drivers consider illegal.
There is no way in hell the word of school bus driver should carry enough weight to have someone's license pulled. There should have to be irrefutable evidence, be it witnesses or camera's before that happens.
I would be just fine with basing it on the driver's word. Unless the suspect had another reliable witness to counter.
Not hard to tell when a bus is slowing down to stop. Shouldn't be a grey area there. No sympathy for anybody thinking kids safety isn't worth the extra 5 minutes to stop safely and wait.

Add a dash cam to those stop sign arms on the side of a bus.
Or a gatling gun.
WTF are you talking about? Lights flashing DO NOT PASS. THAT IS ILLEGAL.
I think what he’s saying is it shouldn’t just be based on the drivers word that the stop sign was out and lights were flashing when you passed.

So, you have just admitted the open possibility of the bus driver lying.
Video, or nothing.
