You can understand why the gate agent would have a problem identifying this man's chosen gender.

If this was a Muslim male in a Burkha all kinds of alarm bells would be going off so why should this be any different? If the virtue signalling Federal Gov't has an issue with this they should should take it up with the Quebec gov't and their ID policy and leave West Jet alone since all they were doing was trying to ascertain if there was a threat.

The only issue here is discretion which West Jet could use a little more of. But a question. If "Canadians are proud of our countries diversity and inclusion" like Garneau claims why would this person be in danger just because people on this flight knew of his gender choice?

This sounds more like "show me the money" than I was in danger but, once again the Federal Gov't with their ham handed tactics will likely enact a bill demanding airlines don't check peoples ID's if they claim they're not who their ID card says they are because of their gender choices.

"Transgendered", the other word for mentally unstable.

"Son, some "women" are weirder than others. Always ask for identification before jumping in the deep end!"
