Protests erupted last week ahead of renewed US sanctions which came into force on Monday aiming to stop Iran's oil exports. One expert told MailOnline today that there will be a revolution soon.

This could get bad.
Nukes? How many nukes do they have?
Impossible to say what will happen but the regime is well organized and has many devout supporters who see the pressure being imposed on their economy by the old enemy. China and Turkey have already said they still want Iranian oil. The US has put itself out on a limb here. If things get critical we could see problems for shipping in both the Straits of Hormuz and the Red Sea.
The experts have been predicting the end of this regime for four decades...it will come when the so called experts least expect it...like when the Berlin Wall fell.
Officially the Iranians have not yet built a nuclear weapon.
Unofficially I've heard that they've probably managed to build around a dozen or so low-yield devices.
They've been able to make high quality metallic uranium since around 2003 and if you can do that then making a nuke out of it is really just an academic exercise.
Note that just because you can build a nuke does not mean you can build a nuke.

And since the Iranians are more likely to use one against SA than Israel I'm not entirely sure who to root for or if I should just

Israel has hundreds of nukes with second strike capability as well so there’s very little chance the Iranians wil hit Israel.
A stupid man tells the Iranian nation that 'your government spends your money on Syria'. This is while his boss-- the U.S. president-- has admitted he spent 7 trillion dollars in the Middle East without gaining anything in return!
Never over-estimate the intelligence of people who start wars thinking that Hollywood movie stars are on their side.
Recently, U.S. officials have been talking blatantly about us. Beside sanctions, they are talking about war and negotiations. In this regard, let me say a few words to the people: THERE WILL BE NO WAR, NOR WILL WE NEGOTIATE WITH THE U.S.

I believe the very wealthy men in charge of Iran have no desire to practice what they preach. When the money is rolling in, Paradise can wait.
