So 15 milion working Canadians can support any number of illegal border crossers? To be against illegal crossing of the border makes you a neo-nazi?
The red star article makes it quite unclear in saying that "no illegal act has been committed when you bypass official border crossings".
Nothing could be farther from the truth. The star is straight up full of shit and should be prosecuted for spreading untruths. Howath is full of shit!

How about this:

1) Thre is no falsehood in this OP-ED editorial, written by Horvath (not the Star) and the quote you claim doesn’t even appear in the article or anywhere else so the only one spreading falsehoods is YOU

2) There is no such thing as being “prosecuted for spreading falsehoods” (lucky for you given your fake quote above)

3) A Trump supporter demanding people be prosecuted for spreading falsehoods is pretty fucking rich given that spreading falsehoods on an unprecedented scale is pretty much the hallmark of that administration.

And she wonders why no one ever takes her or her party seriously in an election, and/or refuses to give her even the smallest of a mandate.

As for The Star....they seem desperate for anything to sell a paper these days.

Seriously though, I support allowing refugee families into Canada, but there has to be a limit on how many we allow, simply because we have limited resources. If we just open the floodgates, we'll wind up having to cut the services all Canadians depend on, like health care and education.

IMHO, the 20,000+ we already let in annually is about the correct number and we need to accept we can't take in as many as bleeding hearts like Horvath want us to.

Border jumpers aren't immigrants. They're criminals. The Socialist hero the Red Star is bragging about is lying if she says they aren't.

I can't get to the article with the given link so I can only guess what she's saying. Sounds like she's saying border jumpers are legal though.

But ya...if Andrea can find an actual, for real "refugee family" not tainted by association with criminal or terrorist affiliations or ideological aggression against western democracies - something like a for real, needy applicant entering through legal channels - she should open her arms to them.

But one suspects she's conflating your "refugee family" term with any ideologically warped hater of the West that wants to sneak across the border or exploit flaws in our system.

In that case she's not offering Canadians' "open arms." It's legs with the average Canadian bent over a chair.

This is the issue. No appetite to send them back and tell how to come properly.
