The Canadian military has barely moved the needle on its ambitious plan to recruit more women, just over a year after the Liberal government introduced its gender-focused defence policy, new figures reveal.

Once again much like their predecessors, this incarnation of the Liberal Gov't is finding out that you can't force people to do what they don't want to do just so you can make yourself fell superior and show the world your forced gender quota program works.

These goals are set by social justice warrior types who insist that if X group makes up Y percent of the population, they must also make up Y percentage of everything else. So they lower standards and desperately try to recruit anyone from their cherished identity groups to be police officers, firefighters, soldiers - politicians. Even when they don't want to be. We have cops who are five tall and can't fight their way out of a paper back so we can get women into uniform, and paramedics and ambulance crews who can't lift patients into the stretchers because they lack the strength. But that never deters lefties. Women might make up 80% of teachers without them caring, but if most of those students who choose the STEM careers in college are men, well, that's a crisis that requires government intervention.

The RCMP recruitment goal is to reach 50% women, which is mindless and stupid when you realize that most places that have RCMP as police are rural and have single occupant vehicles which are often far from backup.

But the left never cares how many people are hurt in its zealous quest for equality of results.

True enough but women make up more than half of the population. They are not some marginal niche.
