Former Toronto councillor Doug Ford says he will run for the leadership of the Ontario Progressive Conservatives, announcing his bid days after Patrick Brown stepped down amid sexual misconduct allegations.

See this is exactly what I was talking about when I said Brown’s downfall was a tragedy for the PC party and a missed opportunity for Ontario.

Fortunately Ford doesn’t have a snowballs chance in hell of ever getting elected Premier. If he becomes leader all he’ll accomplish is that PCs stay in opposition another 15 years and I think the rest of the party knows that instinctively.
