He's not winning anyways, Ontario is going full blown communist and he's just a footnote at this point.

Ontario will sink themselves, the only ones who can speed it up is Trump with the NAFTA provisions which will decrease precurement of public contracts for Ontario (something they are pushing hard back against, as they need the U.S to subsidize the economy), and Trudeau if he chooses to decrease transfer payments. Whether we get there quickly or slowly, it's going to happen.

He just finished a flash news conference at 9:45pm to beat CTV evening news to the story. He was obviously visibly shaken and whether the accusations are true or not, he seemed genuine and said the right words.

I don't really think it matter, I really don't. I had this discussion with a few people last summer when it showed the Conservatives were ahead in the polls and I guaranteed them Wynne would win. They were flooed that I believed this would be the case considering Ontario debt situation and my staunch libertarian/conservative positions, I told them I'm a realist.

If he is innocent I wish him Godspeed, as for politics, he has no chance in Ontario. We are the California of Canada without the economic innovation or individual liberty.

Meh some of the allegations sound pretty damning. One accuser has emails and Facebook messages and social media posts that corroborate places and times including pictures taken at a party inside Browns house. His senior staff have all resigned.

Patrick Brown has been in politics for 12 years. 5 months before an election, this comes out. Not because they went to police and filed formal charges, but because they went to the media. After working for Brown and sucking his dick voluntarily.

This type of nonsense is what pushes this movement backward. If there's criminal wrong-doing, take it to the proper place. That place isn't the media.

Trust me I’m not gloating. In my earlier post I was actually sympathetic to him. I actually think Ontario would have been ok under Brown and everyone would benefit in the long term if the PCs win because the party would be rewarded for moving to the left. Now who knows what they’ll do. It’s actually a shame to ser it end this way, it’s kind of like the 2009 grey cup But unfortunately the Tory goose is cooked for 2018.

That attitude is part of the problem.

Allegations are just that. Allegations. This entire story lacks credibility due to the fact they went to the media, not police. If he did something, have the police involved.

We shouldn’t he happy that allegations can be the end of your career or life before anything is ever proven.

Seriously Conservative Ontario, what's wrong with you? Why would you think a Prog calling himself a Conservative would be a good choice to run against a Prog calling herself a Liberal?

Do you not have any Conservatives in your Progressive Conservative Party? If not you should find some. That way in the next election you would have this thing we actual Conservatives call a choice.

People like you are the reason the PC party has not been electable in Ontario. Browns progressive strategy was the only reason the PCs were a contender in this election. Nobody’s interested in Premier Trump it’ll never happen in Ontario.

Conservatives don't have a chance in Ontario anyways, any more than a Republican has a chance in California. It's 2018 not the 1990's. Jurisdictions have systematically and purposely developed a system meant to drive massive debt and Big Government interference. The education system and the police do their part to assist as they have become the happy recipients of their own trough.

Consider that last election the OPP Union put out radio ads attacking the Conservatives. Consider how many places in Ontario cannot afford the OPP, some mayors even saying that kids will have to go hungry to feed them.

The problems are prevalent, well known and most importantly, will continue.
