Oh then we better start a race to the bottom to see which country benefits the least!

Companies have no morals at all. Gas bill said pay before this date, so I did last week on the day before, online.
A couple days later they phone with their not so pleasant attitude that I was late paying the bill. Gave them the confirmation # and got the usual limp apology & bullshit about how it takes 5-7 business days to process online payments.
Today I got this month's bill.
    Energy used to date: $400.xx
    Energy billed to date: $1113.xx

They phone to give me shit and they owe me over $700.00

A race to the bottom is lowered taxes? Why do you not have any concern with the spending side of the ledger?

Cut the RCMP budget deep, cut transfer payments to provinces, cut the fed and boondoggles. More is less in government almost always. Pay for what we need, what for what some cronies want.

Yeah yeah yeah. Companies and people are always threatening to move here or there. The actual impact is almost always more underwhelming than the predicted effect.

More a quarter of Canadian firms could move part of their operations to the United States amid uncertainty over the future of the NAFTA trade pact, the nation’s export credit agency said on Friday.

They do that to get a competitive edge and as a work around of US tariffs and duties. It doesn't mean that we're going to see every company in Canada pick up lock stock and barrel just to move to the States. And, to be honest if the political climate in the States changes they'll be back faster than you can say NAFTA sucks which is why they'll still keep a large portion of their operations in Canada. So,

lol, you sound like a Hillary Clinron campaign advisor two days before the election.

If companies leave, jobs leave. They aren't going to come back unless there was a drastically different system in place in Canada. Good luck with that one. Government patsies and covert police love their big dollars, dislike liberty in the marketplace or for individuals.

It reminds me of Hong Kong when they embraced the power of the free market. In the 1960's I think HK were a quarter the per capita earnings from the British, than 30 years later the roles had reversed, and HK had surpassed Britain. Socialism failed the British, just as Churchill had warned, while all free market, capitalist nations drive themselves forward, as Hong Kong did.

Our system will not change, America is the only one who can change it for us, by forcing us to adapt. We don't need more covert operatives and conmen, we need hard working capitalists who love liberty.

Can't say I'm too fond of this free-range internet access policy the mental hospitals all apparently now have. Or of how their more ludicrous inmates seem to be directed towards CKA somehow.

If you think I sound like a Hillary advisor it's quite obviously you've never read any of my other posts.

Yes, jobs will leave but, they're leaving for greener pastures now under the current trade deal so what's the real quantifiable difference? This article is nothing more than panic mongering designed to get people into a lather about "job loss" and a destroyed economy when the reality is that we're already experiencing that phenomenon and have been since the Third worst PM in Canadian History signed the NAFTA accord.

As for pure socialism failing, it always has and always will.

Christian morality (not the fake news variety down in Dixie)

The Beatitudes ... the reverse scriptures ... as recorded by Matthew:

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they will be filled.

Blessed are the merciful, for they shall be shown mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the sons of God.

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

How many of them are actually followed by the so-called Christians, "down there".

    Not bloody many ...

Like the ones who think their EI cheque gonna go up or their tips for slinging burgers at the hire-the-handicapped cafe are gonna get better if corporate taxes get cut?

I consider a lot of things I don't end up doing. Good luck to them.
