A rapidly growing wildfire in the foothills north of Los Angeles threatens thousands of homes, forcing nearby residents to evacuate the area after causing at least one death and local power outages, officials say.

    What a terrible situation yet again for Californians. Hopefully people get out when they are told to do so.

    Tens of thousands evacuated. Some sort of medical rehab clinic burned to the ground.

    The 'Creek Fire' is burning in the urban area north of Burbank. 2500 homes in that area have been evacuated.

    The best coverage on TV will be from KTLA

    The LA area has high winds expected through Friday night and the fires down there are expected to end up being even worse than what just happened in Northern California.

    According to news reports, one of Rupert Murdoch’s mansions has burned down so I guess there’s one small silver lining.
