You know who to blame for this. The Conservatives lead by Harper, Toews and Fantino, were cowards, flakes and without the nads to stand up to the RCMP. In fact, they were enablers.

The Liberals have to choose the right Commissioner of the RCMP, hopefully someone from outside the force, hell, even outside the country as some are suggesting.

It would do wonders for our relationship with civilized nations. Until then, I hope it is worth it.

    Yer weird.

Bombardier lost because someone gave them a subsidy that was ruled unfair.

Looks like either Quebec or Northern Ireland, not sure who.

Bombardier has been claiming that they will be 'profitable soon' since the 60's.

That said, Boeing has no jet in the same class as the C series, and didn't even bid on the regional jet contract with Delta. It's going to be interesting to watch Boeing prove their business was hurt by government subsidies, especially when a lot of their business comes with government subsidies.

And the  part of me thinks this is just Trumps' xenophobic agenda starting to show itself. 'America First' will only serve to weaken the economy of everyone, starting with the US.

I'm glad you feel this way because I am working hard to inform Americans and politicians so that America First offsets Canada's covert protectionism and interference in American corporations in Canada.

As I've repeated before, I expect Ontario to be hit the hardest, the economic impact working it's way West. Especially since America has lowered regulations and pushed for global leadership in energy.

The Canadian police will hopefully feel the trickle down of a weaker, more indebted economy in Canada at all three levels of government with some deeps cuts to their budgets. It is already a very popular subject with citizens in any poll I've seen, "cuts to the police first" when addressing budget issues. That is, if there is any justice at all in this country.

Which is interesting, as I live in a part of the country where most of us would be happy to see more police on the streets, not less.

What the fuck does a trade ruling have to do with the cops, anyway?

You clearly haven't been following my saga on here. Rest assured, it has a great deal to do with police. Not uniformed police, who work their asses off and put themselves in danger. Those police I can respect as they are first responders and actually place themselves in danger. Most of them earn their keep.

I'm referring to the undercover, covert variety. Some of which, are entering American corporations and promoting hatred against America, pushing for interest in unions and in fact, operating at executive level on behalf of the state. They are the sweethearts of the police white shirts, who love to burn their massive budgets on many b.s operations and anti-democratic activities against citizens and businesses.

One point I forgot to mention. When this NAFTA negotiation was announced I made anyone who would listen aware that the auto industry in Canada was about to take a massive hit. Some scoffed at this suggestion.

I repeat. Keep an eye on this industry in Canada...expect that it will be a non existent place of employment in Canada within 20 years, unless, the Chinese decide to build cheap cars here. Well played Canada. The term "over reach" aptly applies here.

Yet when the C series was introduced the PR folks at Bombardier made a very deliberate point that they were directly competing against the 737 variants and the A319/A320 platforms.

Can The Bombardier CS300 Really Compete With The B737 and A320?

Seems the PR folks should have run this shit past the legal department.

    3) The CS300 will seat 130-160 passengers, putting it in direct competition with the Airbus A319/A320, and smaller versions of the Boeing 737.

Versions that fly at half capacity or less. The C series was meant as a small short range jet, the likes of which Boeing hasn't built since the 1970s.

    It's still competition.

Southwest Airlines is relevant in this discussion because 100% of their fleet is 737 and the CS300 would fly for Delta on routes that place it in direct competition with Southwest:

    Sea-las
    Sea-pdx
    Sea-anc
    Sea-bna
    Sea-aus
    Sea-slc
    Sea-lga

    Lga-dfw
    Lga-ord
    Lga-clt
    Lga-stl
    Lga-iah
    Lga-ind
    Lga-jax
    Lga-Msy

    And that's all that matters.

There in a nutshell, the reason Canada doesn't win anymore. Arrogance. I've seen it consistently in the last decade, even as I've been transparent, overt and kept every one of my promises and then some. Yes, I must be just some crazy tinfoil hat clown, what do I know.

First Harpers government and now Andrew Scheer, the man who carried water for Harper while lowlifes like Fantino and Vic Toews were in the party. I would have shown some integrity and left the party had those scumbags been a member of my party, but Andrew didn't, this doesn't bode well for Canadas future no wonder what his future is. Then they had a chance at at least some semblance of Libertarianism in this country, and he loses the leadership a la Bernie Sanders. Embarrassing usurping of the Conservative leadership race.

Trudeau has been dealt a very bad hand and it's unfortunate, I had hoped that Ralph Goodale would have understood when he was cc'ed emails from myself to major U.S CEO's (including Dennis Muilenburg, among many others) that this is not a joke, there is a National Security risk in this country and it isn't some sucker like me that is the problem. I made the mistake of taking the high road, and they made the mistake of allowing a most crooked security apparatus to continue it's persecution.

Canada is not going to be better off in 5 or 10 years from today, today is as good as it gets. We haven't even experienced the individual bankruptcy and debt collapse yet. Mark my words.

Again, you know who to blame. America has woken up and goes well beyond this administration. This is bad news for any government that perverts capitalism and has exploited America.

Replacing 40 year old aircraft for one of two airlines, isn't hurting a manufacturer that isn't building a replacement for nor it is bidding for the business.

Hmmm, a company that didn't bid to replace it's old aircraft and that it doesn't produce anymore is hurt when another company wins that bid. You have some strange ideas about 'competition'.
