Lebanese authorities banned the new Wonder Woman movie Wednesday following a campaign against its lead actress, Gal Gadot, who served in the Israeli army.
I'd suggest they retaliate by making the next WW movie about her kicking terrorist ass all over the desert, with emphasis on Muslim males being made to look as stupid and cowardly as possible, just like the majority of them are in real life. Hollywood PC being what it is though they'll just make white guys the next bunch of villains again.
They did it in Sum of all Fears. Rather than sand bandits setting off a dirty bomb, as in the book, they made the villains a bunch of old European bankers with ties to the Third Reich.
Still trying to find out if that was Ben Affleck's price the producers had to cave in on to get him to star in that film, to delete the Muslims and replace them with Nazis. That they distorted the book so badly made it fitting that it was the worst-performing of all the Tom Clancy/Jack Ryan movies. Out of all the Hollywood dipshits out there he seems especially zealous to be a major apologist for Islam, as shown by the time Bill Maher and Sam Harris had to slap him around about it on RealTime.
"N_Fiddledog" said Wonder Woman will be a box office phenomena.
Choke on it Lebanon. Bigots.
I am going to do something very silly here, something I would despise others for, but the pedant in me...cannot...resist. Here goes: one phenomenon, many phenomena. And BTW it's not like I know ANYTHING about grammar but I just like that word phenomenon and I feel it's endangered and heading the way of bacterium.
OK back to reality. Obviously the Lebanese decision is the wrong one. However, given the constant threat of tribal chaos in that country, I can understand how somebody made that weird call. It's a powder keg where anything Israeli is anathema to many. A movie versus Syrian-style anarchy? OK we'll ban the movie.

Perhaps drink had been taken by Mr. Affleck that night? I think I recognized a kindred spirit in all that florid ranting.
However, I wish Harris would distinguish between criticism of Islam and support for Israel. He's a philosopher, so such fine distinctions are hardly unreasonable to expect. He muddies the waters by discussing them together which is OK for an Internet forum but not for a guy of his calibre.
