Trump meets with Xi Jinping and immediately dispatches a Strike Group to the Korean peninsula. If that doesn't tell that halfwit running North Korea about where the Chinese now stand on his threats of nuclear annihilation for the region, I don't know what does.

Here's another one from the Washington Post:

SEOUL — A U.S. Navy strike group led by the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier was making its way toward the Korean peninsula Sunday “to maintain readiness” as Kim Jong Un’s regime in North Korea prepared to mark key anniversaries this coming week.

North Korea is expected to hold a huge military parade on April 15 to celebrate the 105th birthday of its founding president, Kim Il Sung, and to mark the 85th anniversary of the creation of the Korean People's Army on April 25 with similar fanfare.

Analysts expect the recent barrage of missile launches to continue, and activities around the country’s known nuclear test site have raised concerns North Korea may be preparing for a sixth nuclear test.

Over the weekend, North Korea said it was not afraid of military strikes like those the United States launched on Syria last week, saying it could defend itself with its “tremendous military muscle with a nuclear force.”

In this atmosphere, the Carl Vinson strike group, which includes a carrier air wing and two guided-missile destroyers, was ordered to travel to the “western Pacific.” When the group left Singapore on Saturday, it was bound for Australia before receiving the new orders...

My popcorn popper is primed and ready to go. Also have three quarters of a bag of kernels, and a full stick of butter.

    Au revoir, DPRK.....

North Korea is posturing again and we're reacting to it... again. :(

Nah. Just saber rattling. The fleet has to do a drive by every once in a while to remind some of the little pricks out there of their place on the food chain.

One carrier does not make for a "massive" strike group. It's just a carrier with it's standard complement of escorts is all.

Ping me when we dispatch three more carriers and forward deploy B-1's to Yakota and B-2's to Guam.

Chatter says China is moving 150,000 troops to the North Korean border.

It might be intimidation but then again maybe China is going to go into NK to deal with Lil' Kim so the US stays out of the North.

    That's good, too.

Likely it's the standard show of force to remind lil Kim who'll be the bottom bitch if he tried anything stupid.

Just a little show of strength to keep little Kimmy in line. As long as it doesn't escalate the North Korean's should sit back and enjoy the parade.

The scary thing is DJT seems to be itching for a little military conflict to take American's minds off of all the crap that is going on at home. Just need some pictures of bigly ships and really bright explosions to keep them gleefully going right along.

SOP's for any American administration for the last half century. Well, that and the fact that the Donald owns shares of Raytheon so shooting 59 missles when 10 would have done just increases his profit margin. :P

Having the Norks concentrating their defenses seaward while China pours in and removes Little Kimmy, his cronies and nuclear scientists would accomplish 1000X more.

I keep trying to post something itt, and I just can't.

What a waste of time and money, Trump told the US he was going to stop this stupid shit
    of constant war.

I wonder who talked him into the McCain/Obama/Hillary/MSM war drum gang.
