Four thousand and two days. But who’s counting, eh? Well, how about the entire city of Edmonton and surrounding areas since the last time fans could stand up and shout to the roof-tops “Hey, the Oilers are in the playoffs.

Taylor Hall says he won't cheer for the Oilers, won't play for his country in the World Championship. Sucks to be him.

On a side note Kassian now has more disallowed goals than some players have good goals.

Leafs-Oilers Stanley Cup finals. Leafs in four.

There are 14 other teams that's going to have a say in that, but anything is possible, well except the 4 straight games in the final.

I want to see a Battle of Alberta first, but not in the first round, let us have a couple of rounds before one of the Alberta teams are eliminated. It would suck to lose one of our teams (cough Calgary) in the first round.

I was saying it tongue in cheek, but as you said, anything is possible.

I want to be a good westerner and pull for one of the Canadian teams but this year it can't be done.

Can't pull for the Flames, cause they're the enemy. The Canucks have been feuding with them almost as long as Edmonton - and harder. It's become a 'Martins and the Coys' thing.

I'm fine with Edmonton, but if San Jose wins the cup Canucks get a # 1 draft pick. Canuck fans have to cross their fingers and hope for the Sharks.

If the Oils do make it out of the first round though, "Go Edmonton! "

I'm happy for Edmonton and they will be the team in the western conference that I'll cheer for.

Of course I'd be MUCH happier to cheer for my team but... :|

So Calgary can possibly clench tonight too, I hear.

Then the way the standings look right now it will be the two Canadian cities versus the two California ones and if the Canadians win that it will be Battle of Alberta to decide who goes on.

    Would be fun.

Oh, I see what AR means...

If Edmonton has time to take Anaheim out of first n the Pacific it can be Edmonton versus Calgary in the first round.

I'll cheer for the Habs and when/if they get eliminated, I'll find another Canadian team to cheer for... even if I have to cheer for the Leafs. 8O

You are rare. I cheer for the Canadiens as long as they aren't play Toronto. Growing up of course, I disliked them always. Though I really loved the Nordiques, my favourite team after the Leafs, Quebec had some absolutely dynamic and exciting teams.

My wife is a Habs fan and will never cheer for the Leafs, she says angry offensive things about them which I dare not repeat. She hasn't grown out of the hate for the arch enemy as I have.

Here's someone that's not allowed to jump on the Leafs bandwagon if they can find success in the playoffs.

Oilers play the Ducks once and the Sharks twice, LA once and the last weekend back to back with the Canucks. Any combination of wins and losses, that prevents a battle of Alberta in the first round works for me.

I love it when the province goes crazy with hockey, I say let's do the battle in the second round. All the top 3 teams clinched last night with the Kings loss. It felt good not helping Calgary clinch.

Simple explanation, I only have enough hate for one team, and that goes to the Boston Bruins. So I don't hate the Leafs, I mock the Leafs... but now I might have to find a way to cheer for them and mock them at the same time.

...depending on what the Habs do, of course.

A couple of weeks to go and the playoff trash talk has begun! This is fun to read already.

I don't hate any of the Canadian teams per se, but of course I favour some more than others.

An all-Canadian-based-team final would be rather cool though.
