MUst be Alta_redneck's mother, he's been especially perturbed by carbon tax lately. The obvious answer is for the Lieberals to subsidize hydro bills. Just raise taxes to do so.

Trudeau should tell her if she's not making enough money what the compassion trust of CKA usually says in these cases, get a second job, go back to school soyou can get a job that pays more

More like Ontario should knock it off with the wind power con, get the nuclear facilities going again, and convert as much oil-burning to natural gas ASAP. This zero-emissions nonsense is a con and anyone who is making a mortgage-sized payment per month for utilities is a victim of bad politics (and of bad politicians too), not a whiner. That crowd of Peterborough goofs though with their polite little golf-claps to L'il Potato's "phase out the oilsands" comment sure deserve what they get for going along like sheep with the renewables pipe dream. At this stage in the propaganda and indoctrination it's going to take the full fiscal collapse of Ontario to get anyone down there to finally smarten up.

The Deplorables regularly say anyone having trouble affording things has nobody to blame but themselves.

Heck, TWO of the pastors at Trump's inauguration are televangelists who preach "prosperity gospel", which basically claims that all material wealth is a reward from god for exceptional virtue. Therefore anyone who is rich has been blessed by god and anyone who is poor is being punished by god.

So what's got the righties upset here? If she can't pay her bills she's lazy and a bad person, right Conservatives?

The only problem with ignore is it doesn't work with the first 3 or 4 comments, to start with Andy my mother died Good Friday 2015, but thanks for reminding me.

And Andy, anybody that likes taxes as much as you, doesn't earn enough to pay taxes so when do you take your bottles down to cash them in.

Is Friday a bad day cause I would expect a lot of junkies are looking for money for their first hit of the weekend and you look like a prime target. Have you ever been robbed of your bottles, left crying in the middle street from that.

Just a question. When our PM is on tour or holiday's who's running the country? Seems to me that given his abysmal attendance record and the lack of consequences from those absences that he might be nothing more than figure head to be trotted out whenever a cabal of Liberal back bencher's decides it needs to placate the gullible masses.

"Prime minister is not a nine-to-five job," Trudeau told a news conference in Peterborough, Ont., presumably a reference to the fact that his behaviour remains subject to public scrutiny even during what he calls a "private family vacation."

"I'm prime minister every minute of every day ... that's part of the job and I fully accept and embrace it."

Bullshit, it certainly isn't a 9 to 5 job but, to be the Prime Minister of our country you have to at least be in attendance in Ottawa and parliament, not gallivanting around the country taking selfies with the unwashed masses. To be PM you have to govern and your own personal popularity has nothing to do with that fact.

OTTAWA — Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau is making no apologies for appearing in the House of Commons only two days per week during this fall’s session of Parliament.

Trudeau says Parliament is not addressing Canadians’ problems thanks to the hyper-partisanship that has become commonplace, and that he is accomplishing more by meeting real people in their homes and communities.

“This government, and unfortunately this House of Commons, tends to be focused on attacks and insults much more than on the service that Canadians are expecting of their parliamentarians and their representatives,” he said in an interview Tuesday.

He's either trying to get a selfie with every person in Canada or he doesn't like all those nasty Conservatives and NDP'ers picking on him and his sunny ways policies. But, either way he belongs in Ottawa running this country and not taking vacations that break the law or engaging in speaking tours that accomplish sweet dick all other than try and make him look like a man of the people.

Yeah that was embarrassing him listening to her and sympathizing. Even to the point of saying there should be something to ease things for low income earners.
    Suggesting rebates? Goddam lib
He should've mocked her age, turned to camera and sneered while he mouthed "Wroooong!!!"

Fucking stupid fucks that think like Yanks, the PM makes every decision even what shoes you put on in the morning.
ONTARIO put on the carbon tax. Ontarion needs a rebate program, if they don't already have one.
Same comment to the whiners about "phasing out the oil sands"... they're GONNA get slowly phased out by changing markets & Trudeau's not the one doing or even planning it. GO ahead and put off thinking about alternative energy and cheap oil the USA is gonna flood the markets with.

OH, those delicious tears of righteousness. Wasn't it you who posted that pic of the mug being filled with the tears of Liberals. Ironic.

I must admit I've never been robbed of my bottles. It must be traumatic. You don't seem to care that my bottle buyer died last Saturday. Oh, the grief. I can't bear it. Try to keep a grip. This is where giving yourself over to totally out of control flip out will lead you. Not sure what Rachel Notley is putting in the Alberta water these day.

Maybe you could publish a list of relatives of yours who have died on what day of the week,so we don't trigger you with what we write.

The PM doesn't need to be physically present in Ortawa in order for the country to run. The mailman will deliver the mail tomorrow regardless. Being seen in Ottawa is no less an optics exercise than being seen in with "average Canadians" across the country. In fact most if not all PMs travel the country extensively in their first few years. To get to know the communities and so that people can't say "Who does that think he is, why, he's never even come around this part of the country!"

In fact every PM spends their first few years visiting communities across the country. LET'S BE HONEST, no matter what he does, you're going to criticize him for not doing the opposite. If he had stayed in Ottawa, you would accuse him of locking himself in his ivory tower and being trapped in the Ottawa bubble, isn't that right?
