All Star Canadian Charity Concert

Sarah McLachlan, Bryan Adams, Jann Arden, the Barenaked Ladies, Chantal Kreviazuk and slew of Canada's A-list recording stars are planning a charity concert in Vancouver, with all proceeds going to the new B.C. Cancer Research Centre. The artists will announce the date and location of the concert today at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. Each artist has agreed to donate 100 per cent of their time and fees towards the benefit concert, which it is hoped will raise $1 million. Already, a number of companies, including Clear Channel and Nettwerk Records, have donated what amounts to $1.5 million of resources toward what is being touted as the biggest charity concert in Vancouver history.
