Alouettes win 90th Grey Cup
The Montreal Alouettes defeated the Edmonton Eskimos 25-16 to win the 90th Grey Cup Sunday in a game that featured a slick field and a wild ending. This is the first time the Alouettes first victory in 25 years.

Miss Canada flees deadly riots in Nigeria
Miss Canada, Lynsey Bennett, 22, withdrew from the Miss World competition on the weekend after deadly violence over the beauty pageant spread in the African country. Eventually, organizers cancelled the event and announced it would be staged in London on Dec. 7. But Bennett was told she had been disqualified for leaving early. Canadian officials are now lobbying to have her put back in the lineup.
