I've heard it was a bad idea, but then again, it all depends on what industry you're in and what you're applying for. Like a band would put a photo in their press kit. I don't know if its the commercials per se, but what gets me the most is that most programs though they're slotted for 30 minutes or an hour in actual reality are only like 20-40 minutes long because more than half of its air time is consumed by commercials!
