Cher, what can be said. Another icon touring about and still sounding as good as she did 30 years ago. She changed outfits pretty much every song and looked great in all of them. She rolled through the years from her first #1 in 1965 to the classic "Believe". She played on the video screen a variety of flash backs including the full version of "I Got You Babe" featuring clips of the impromptu reunion on the David Letterman show. She continued singing such hits as "If I Could Turn Back Time", "Half Breed"and "Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves". Clocking in at just shy of 90 minutes it was pretty much non-stop show between the video screens flashing us back to periods in Cher career and life. Various TV and movie appearances included clips with Ray Charles, Tina Turner, David Bowie, Elton John and even a spoof of Cher by Carol Burnett. Cher went on first thing and cleared the air by saying a few words to acts like Britney Spears, J. Lo and Jessica Simpson. She said, (after 40 years of music and acting including an oscar) " Let's see if those bitches top this". She was backed by a 9 member band and 6 dancers. The dancers provided acrobatic stunts overhead and even some disco! What a flashback through time it was. Cher did a cover of "Love Hurts" and opened the show with a cover of U2's "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For"...Needless to say it was very entertaining. By the way...The Village People opened for Cher with about a 9 or 10 song set including...of course "YMCA"... Cher isn't for everyone and but even still it was a great show...I'm glad I went...
