The good side is Russia is getting use to free expressions. They haven't had it in at least 400 years.

Protesters who know what they're protesting against. That's refreshing.

Yes, it is true. They know something is rotten there and they want a change.

Not all that long ago in Russia to even think of a demonstration like that would have earned you a visit from KGB. Laverenty Beria would have a heart attack if he could see this.

They still have some ways to go in Russia before they get to a what we would consider a liberal democratic government but they are defiantly on their way and it is very pleasing to see.

Nice name drop had to google him. Soon as I seen the picture of him I was like OHHH YEAH that saddest. I bet he not only would he have a heart attack he would be itching to pull the trigger on someone, well some 10's of thousands of someones.

Russia is, it appears, on the right track. Lets just hope they continue to head in this directions and not slip into a repressive style of government.

The video of the man getting caught changing ballots is priceless. Hopefully Russia will learn from the Ukrainian neighbors.

Not to say that United Russia wouldn't have won a fair election though.

Beria's mansion in Moscow was purchased be an African country I for get which one to be used as an embassy. When they were renovating the place they discovered that he had a lot of bodies buried in the walls. He was one sick individual.

But yes, as long as they don't trade one tyranny for another they are on the right track.
