Here's a pleasant surprise. Now it's basically seeing how Putin reacts to this. Either he'll become even more power-hungry and not care about the results, or he'll actually realize that Russia could use somebody new and step down. Let's hope for the latter.

Putin is not about to step down, Russian leaders rarely step down voluntarily. He is going to be elected and if the Duma gets in his way he will do his best to "work around" the election results.
