Do I agree with that?

No.

But everything Harper has done to date re the wheat board has ranged from dirty, to unethical, to undemocratic to illegal.

So, if this works, GREAT.

Just for fun, what illegal actions has he done that will have him up on charges with the potential for fines and prison?

A stern lecture and slap on the wrist is all he's in for I'm afraid.

Regarding the gag order he put on the CWB during the last board elections.

Irrelevant now as he has tabled legislation to fire all of the farmer elected board members and replace them with government appointed ones.

It makes sense, and I heartily support the motion, but I'm sure there have been times in the past when Liberal and/or NDP MPs have voted on things with similar conflict of interest.

Still, Harper was originally elected on accountability and being different, so here's his chance to actually walk the walk...but I won't hold my breath hoping he will.

Here is one group that thinks Harper is a criminal. Personally, I will just wait for the Election Expenses question to resurface.

Some of his other actions ought to be regarded as criminal but, in what passes for democracy, they are just politics as usual.

Prorogations; using public moneys for Party propaganda. Stealing from the poor to feed the maw of the rich. Lots more.

This Wheat Board just rides roughshod overthe wishes of the majority and favours a few farmers - presumably a political calculation.

This used to be a mark of Fascism to gain office with a minority of support and then to reshape a nation against the wishes of the majority.

There's a story in the local paper today about our area NDP MPs who are being punished for voting to kill the registry. Before voting they were told it was not "Whipped" vote and "voted the reflected wishes of their constituents."

Both have been:
-Stripped of all critic roles
-Not allowed any questions or statements in the House of Commons
-Pulled off all committees
-Restricted travel to Ottawa and back only

Power to the people??
