BC, stand by for an ankle grab and CPC can expect even fewer seats out here.

The CPC already screwed Ontario out its extra seats because the suckhole of Confederation whined. I guess that they'll screw over Vancouver in favour of Quebec too. Halifax will at least get one of the contracts. Whose riding(s) are the Quebec shipyards in?

MIL Davie is in Sorel, south side between Montreal and Trois Rivieres... bloc territory I think.

It's really sad to watch this, shipyards living and dying on Government handouts.

Irving can take the big one, and sub out some work to Davie...
BC gets the non military.

Nobody happy, but everyone gets work.

So what does this exactly mean for Vancouver as a whole?

Well, it's 8 billion to 22 billion to Irving, however, as a Seaspan union dude rightly pointed out, that 22 billion will also include all the combat systems that will be bought offshore whereas the 8 billion here will be for the Coast Guard and supply ships which will have far less off shore components.

Lots of jobs in the end and they'll likely start sooner than Irving.
