It might be a good idea to get some military assets up to the Arctic before the Russians annex Canadian Territorial areas.

China, Japan, South Korea and the European Union all want to horn in on this. They all have brass balls.

Russia has had little or no teeth since the Communists fell. The only 'proof' they offer of their muscle is beating up on ill-equipped Chechen rebels that they can't contain fully.

Canada however should still send some forces up that way sooner rather than later.

Who'd they take it from? If you annex something you usually take it from someone else. if no one else had dibs on it, then more correctly it would be Russia laid claim.

Hey, at least Russia has a valid claim. I'm laughing at the other fuckwad nations that are nowhere near the arctic and yet are trying to lay claim to some of it.

No teeth? They've got both nuclear powered icebreakers and submarines capable of 24/7/365 operations in the Arctic while Canada has neither.

If the NDP were to form a government the would probably just hand most of the Artic to the Russians. They might give Jack a sable hat in return.

We don't have to worry, their ships and subs sink easily without outside help.

At least when Russian shit breaks, 90% of the time in order to fix it you just bash it around, sometimes hit it with a hammer. Russian kit also seems to function over a greater range of operating temperatures and conditions.
