I'm not going to harp too much on the partisan side, since this sort of political payback is common across parties. It is another thumb in the eye for those who were expecting something different. If you build one of the most liberal Senators in Congress to be some kind of nonpartisanuber-President, you can expect to be let down, and let down hard.
