There's something way worse than Asian Carp in our waters. Snakeheads have already reached the Great Lakes and these fuckers eat EVERYTHING!!!

I've heard they are but from the looks of things last year and this year, they've invaded the creek behind our place and may be eating the young salmon and trout, cuz those have been very rare lately.

Whatever dipshit dreamed up this plot has obviously never been to America. Our train system is one of the most dilapidated,unused systems in the world. Only in the Northeast corridor do you get any real ridership. Even then, what speeds do we reach? A whopping 35 mph perhaps? How much carnage would you create at 35 mph? A few lawsuits perhaps. This is not Europe or Asia. We do not have any high speed rail lines. You take out a high speed rail line, you will have hundreds of casulties. You take out an American rail line and you will have a handfull of casulties at best. No wonder these dipshits are losing the war on terror.

The Amtrak Acela hits as much as 150mph/240kph on straightaways and there's a number of commuter trains in California, for instance, that routinely exceed 90mph.

This is a very real possibility given the fact that the hajis blew up trains in Madrid and London and that the Eschede disaster in Germany has been considered by some to have been an act of sabotage where a device was placed on the rails that caused a train wheel to fail.

I don't think passenger trains would be the worst case scenario, tons of hazardous goods travel by rail all over both the US and Canada, a well timed and well placed derailment could cause massive deaths and create a natural disaster with long term effects. Couple that with numerous attacks at the same time....., they could even use such attacks with other well timed attacks on other targets using the rail disasters as cover/distraction.

Unfortunately the sheer # of possible targets is too much to monitor, nor do we have any real idea how much our enimies are capable of, no one thought they'd be flying planes into building until after it happened.

While you're right about us not knowing 100% of the possibilities, the difference between pre and post 9/11 anti-terrorist security is that before 9/11 it was reactive, where today our security systems are very proactive.

Like my example posted above, coming up with a way to cause mass casualties and effectively fuck our way of life aren't that hard. But we have a very good security system in place, which is the biggest reason why nothing has happened in North America since 9/11
