Exactly. Don't ban polygamy. Go after the criminal actions. And I like the BC government arguing that men with multiple wives are committing a crime, but women with multiple hubands aren't. Do we really want to go down that road?

It's right at the top of the page. You just have to read the story.

I'm sure the justification would be that only men having multiple wives harms women but not the other way around. You know, because we live in a patriarchal, phallocentric society.

The whole thing is bullshit and rests on a foundation of sand. If some men are "marrying" underage girls, go after them for statutory rape, since the marriage would be illegal anyway. Make sure to raise the legal age of marriage to 18. Strictly go after bigamists. But get your nose out of the bedrooms of the nation because people want to hook up in combinations that involve more than two people.
